The journal Information Society (In Hungarian: Információs Társadalom, abbreviated as InfTars), ISSN: 1587-8694, established in 2001, aims to provide a venue for research and discussion of the theories and applications of Information Society Studies, with an interest in philosophy, education, law, and other related fields.

InfTars achieves this goal by providing a dissemination venue for a community of researchers in the discipline, as well as by republishing the most profound and influential works in the field in Hungarian. Currently, the odd-numbered issues are published in Hungarian, while the even-numbered issues are published in English.

The journal is Platinum Open Access: there are no fees of any kind, the author retains the intellectual rights to the submission, which is published under Creative Commons 4.0 BY-NC-SA license. Thanks to the generous support of our host institution, professional native-speaker proofreaders are provided for both English and Hungarian.
